WOOHOO! Thanks for the info. The climber who did this should fess up. One person has done a lot to put us in a pretty crappy situation.

I'd like to know who this climber is who has put our climbing access at risk as well...

Lurkist, do the No Trespassing signs apply only to vehicles? Can we park at the Motherlode and walk to the other areas until this is resolved? Do you know?

One thing I just considered. Maybe one weekend of people not being able to climb in the Southern region will make everyone more aware of how important it is for us to buy it. Anyone know how well it helps absorb the vast number of climbers coming to the Red...any guesses...huh?

ok, i am confused..is the lurkist saying that this incident took place? does he know both sides of the story? did the oil worker threaten the climber with bodily harm before asking him to move his car? what is the point in knowing who this person was, unless he/she gets a chance to tell their side of the incident?

did the dude who spray painted the trees get made "an example" of, or was he lightly reprimanded and allowed to continue as part of the community?

just curious as to the rules....

Well, the spray paint was VERY minor compared to this. This cost us access in one fell swoop! Screw his side of the story, he can tell it to me as I gouge out his spleen with my dirty, chalk encrusted fingernails.
