did some choc milk after swimming yesterday and based on the one and only experience I'm sold- and I hope the mix stuff has the same benefits as prepacked.. from the Return to Studdom Tour diaries

I found a tankard of this shit in powdered form when I was living in Yosemite and basically lived on it for two months--NOT recommended, although I was climbing pretty strong that fall for me.

I thought the 4:1 was for endurance sports? I use choco milk post run or ride. With a cookie ... or two. Horizon single servings don't need refrigerated, fyi.
You climb in The Red. Its an endurance sport...

Is chocolate milk somehow better for recovery than regular white milk? I mean it tastes way better but i wonder if its actually better a better source of protein.

The protein would be the same, but I've always heard it's best to take protein with some carbs. Maybe the sugar in chocolate milk assists the protein in being utililzed or something.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

Muscle Milk is Lactose free. If you're all that worried about the 4:1 ratio, buy the powder, use half the recommended serving size, and eat a few pieces of hard candy or some fruit with it.

I use the powder because its cheaper. However, I don't use it just for recovery, but also for meal replacement one meal a day (usually lunch).
