How about the crag near M-load but on the other side of the road, with a handful of long pumpy 5.12s? (I forget the name)

How about Briar Patch? Grott?
Serafina?

The two biggest unpublished crags I know of have access issues. doh.

Why someone would put forth the effort and expense to develop a cliff and not want anyone to go there? I guess if there are access issues, but otherwise this makes no sense....
I've been a gumby longer than you've been climbing.

it's not that they don't want anyone to go there. it's just that they don't want YOU to go there.

I'm pretty sure there are slight access issues with the cliff I know of. Not sure why someone would want to keep a crag secret. Maybe so they always have a place to go that's not going to be crowded? Kind of like a personal gym for training.

Not really. If you go out, find some private cliff line, work out access for you and a limited number of people, build some trails and bolt some lines, why should you have to risk your access to invite the masses? The ave. climbers are the ones with the sense of entitlement, not the developers.

That said, the oil crack, arena, solar, darkside, and even the lode where "secret" crags at one time. So, there may be some hope for some of the current mega, ultra secret locals only crags to be opened. I can't think of any unpublished crags right now that don't have some form of access issue or another...
