Hamsco, Hamsco! Come out, come out wherever you are!

(I got the scoop one afternoon while sitting on the boulder, but I know I won't do the story justice.)

I don't know if this is the reason why BOHICA was named but there is a commonly used military saying.
B= bend
O= over
H= here
I = it
C= comes
A= Again

BWAHAHAHA. Touche, der Toy. Porter offered to me the other day to change the name of BBBB. I told him not on your life. That is one of my prouder moments.
Speaking of Porter- Neal was getting busy up at FRC back in the day and the place was still basically under the radar with all the routes for the taking. Then one day Porter shows up in the throes of his frenetic rabid conquest of the Red.
Thus Neal's route name, "There Goes The Neighborhood", and Porter's route name, "The Infidel".
Good Times.

The Trundle of my life is the story behind HeadStone Surfer. That boulder that sits at the base of the route (which is only half exposed- the rest being under the ground) used to sit precariously posed on the ledge above the first half of the route. It sat there on the flat ever so slightly sloping ledge with a three inch shim stone under the back of it, tipping it over the edge, threatening anyone at the base with a painless out go the lights death if it ever went.
I recognized this and knew my duty. I MUST trundle this stone. HA! So I did the route and lowered back down on TR with the belayer well around the corner, and with a back up ancher built in the crack above it with a long leash, and then got on the thing and started rocking it, back and forth. Making that massive thing rock and start to tip over the edge gave me wood. It took several minutes to get her to go. It slipped over the edge and road it over the side until my leash caught me.
Good Times!

Obvious but my favorite route name is "Blue-eyed Honkey Jesus." I just love it.
Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.
