While driving east on Mountain Parkway, slow down when you get near the Clay City exit (the first one - with the dragstrip). I spotted the Highway Patrol in my rear view mirror hiding on the east bound on-ramp. You'll never see 'em until it's too late.
state police usually patrol miles 11-19 more often than not. Dept of Fish and Game will usually sit on the top of the eastern clay city ramp during the first week of gun/deer season and look for tags on your deer. Spotter will work in the eastern location and partner(s) will work the western exit.

my sentiments exactly.
if you are on the other side of the damn road, it's fair game IMO. there are laws against crossing over the median for a reason you fucking cheaters!
never been pulled over in a hundred times going 78 mph.
also: i've come across night time police checkpoints on the parkway east of slade, if anyone comes from that direction. and i'm always suspicious of checkpoints around nada tunnel. keep them doobies hidden until you're on the trail, folks
I hit a road block driving from Miguel's to Lago Linda on saturday night a couple of weeks ago. Five cops were blocking KY11 right where 498 dead ends into it. Be careful if you're having a beer or two with dinner and then driving toward the southern region.
I got a ticket doing 78 MPH two years ago near Stanton. Actually went to court in Stanton - it was an absolute blast. I did get the ticket reduced, but more importantly I was able to stand before the judge along with all the other common criminals and plead my case. I made a spectacle of myself, the whole courtroom laughed at me...it was priceless.
I strongly recommend you all go to court - it is your right! And if you are going to pay a fine, at least get your moneys worth!
I've been a gumby longer than you've been climbing.
