I am going to give people the benefit of doubt that this was intentional. Today my partner and I warmed up on the 10 wall at Roadside and then moved on to climb something else down the crag, leaving draws on Crazy Fingers as we had intended to cool down on it. But when we came back they were gone.
So, if you or your buddies cleaned Crazy Fingers thinking they were yours please let me know. I would like my quickdraws back.
There were 6 BD Positrons. gold in color, and marked with blue and black tape.
Or if you see someone with them kick their ass, they have it coming, and let me know.
Karma,

Could be the locals but then again I am a local. Or it could be some d bag. Either way I hope you get them back. Freakin weasels I am sorry to hear that. There is a super secret crag I go to not many people climb there maybe a handful if that and someone still snagged the first draw. In that instant I knew it was a dumb hill person. But if all of the draws were takin good luck getting them back.

i am not comfortable with climbing on someone else's draws without asking them first. and at a crag like roadside on a busy day, it could be really hard to find the individuals who own the draws.
so is that the etiquette? if there are draws on the route but no one climbing it, is it ok to use them? what if a rope is up (another issue), can i pull there rope? can i top-rope one there rope?

draws hanging are draws hanging. i agree i like to ask first but i'm so used to everyon being chill, {is this a bad thing?} and it not being an issue.
IF you are one of those people that does mind. take your draws down.
on a busy day it just makes since for routes to be strung up and everyone hops on everyone elses gear.
leaving a rope hanging and not being around.....that is F'n gay and you should be kicked in the nuts and have your rope pulled. i pull them within a minute or two if i dont see anybody using it or around. i'll put it back up if they get pissed.
WORSE is when a group is TR'ing everything at the cliff and you ask, "who's going on this route?" and they rply its the guy currently struggling up the easy route before he gets on the harder route the rope is on. forty minutes later, they pull it. seen this A BUNCH.

I can never understand how people think that works. I usually laugh, and tell them that they have to not be on a route, in order to be in line for another route, and if no one is immediately getting on it, I will pull there rope and go. Of course I offer to rehang it. Usually people act like your a jerk, but oh well.anticlmber wrote: WORSE is when a group is TR'ing everything at the cliff and you ask, "who's going on this route?" and they rply its the guy currently struggling up the easy route before he gets on the harder route the rope is on. forty minutes later, they pull it. seen this A BUNCH.
