if nothing was antagonized by something, would that be an hallucination or a delusion?

uh, apologies, i just realized that question was directed at me.

hmmm, well maybe, along the lines of...duality. i'd REALLY need to go back and read your line of thought more carefully to provide continuity. But, as a proposition, the idea that 'humanity' is headed for some global consensus may be challenged by other global imperatives, less apparent to human awareness. Ok. I must go kill myself now, excuse me.

like disease, which is not dependent upon human cooperation, mostly. Asteroids, too, if you like rocks. I wouldn't be too quick to write off women either.

I'm still not really clear on what you're saying, clif. That there may be some force beyond our perception keeping us from awakening to what I have been talking about? Because if that's what you mean then I would say there is definitely a force trying to keep it from happening. But it's nothing that we can't overcome in my opinion.

If an asteroid comes hurling toward the earth though, there's nothing we can do about it but try to make peace with ourselves before we're all obliterated. Same thing with a massive plague. I don't really see any reason to fear those kinds of things. I see the fact that things like that might happen as another reason to try and become enlightened before any of that shit goes down.
