Your vote...

What is your vote for the worst place to climb at the Red on a busy weekend?

Is it the Lode, where every poser wanna be talks so loud you can't have a minute of silence?

Is it Roadside, where you are scared your day will be ruined with a rescue?

Is it Muir, with the parking lot making you feel like you never left the mall?

I vote the Lode. I hate that place becasue of the wet holds from all the spray and good vibes and brah-dom.

How would you know Pigsteak? You never go to the Lode!

Today was a record setting day 3 parking areas: Lode, Global Village, Bob Marley/Drive By.

What's up with 8 cars parking at the top of the Lode hill in front of driveways, pumps, etc? Then one big truck blocking the road directly across from the trailhead parking at the Lode and another car blocking the oil pump access across from the parking area. I thought cars weren't supposed to be parking at these areas.

dude, just what you said..I drive by the Lode parking lot, and the choades and their inability to park in a straight line tells you that the crag is gonna be a sweaty sack sprayfest....

Last weekend there were cars strewn all about the lode area, and at the top of the hill. I don't know wtf is going on, but hopefully nobody pisses off the oil company.

Roadside or Military Wall/Left Flank...those poor areas never get a rest.

Solar Collector gets pretty miserable on crowded weekends, too.

We had a pretty successful weekend of avoiding people at FRC and Left Flank, which I was not expecting. Not too crowded except for Orange Juice, that thing has ALWAYS got a line!

I've been to Bruise Bros three times this season, and every time it's been crowded. Nonetheless I always manage to get on at least 6 or 7 routes over there, and have hardly ever had to wait to get on the routes I wanted to get on over there. Arriving as early as possible does help. I'd say this is probably the most crowded wall at Muir, and with so many different areas in the valley all within a short walk from each other, I'd say Muir is still worth getting on a busy weekend, especially if you can beat the rush.
