Time flies....
Now play nice. I haven't completely settled down, my complaint's are hardly full time, and I would hate to have missed the twenty years I've lived in Bozeman, where the skiing, hunting, fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and dirt biking are world class, the kayaking and canoeing are spectacular and quality beer drinking opportunities are nearly endless. Even though the outside world continues it's slow encroachment (we've had a speed limit for several years now, and it's no longer legal to sip a cold one as we transit the rural highways) this really is the place for me. A week ago friday I paddled 27 miles of the Missouri river without seeing another boater, fisherman, rancher, or even a cow on the river. One coyote, a few rising fish, lots of birds, and one engineer who waved from a passing freight train were all the company I had. Damn, I love this place.
heh. good thing i don't have any pics of me following.L K Day wrote:Try to look a little more desperate next time if you don't mind.
the nature of that overhang combined w/ a top belay makes it a 1 try affair. you muck up that 1 chance and you will find yourself danglin' in space 80 ft off the deck. unable to get back on the rock, unable to lower. ask me how i know.
we had planned on knocking out tower of power as well, but alas, wimp out & the ceiling took their toll. we'll be back for it and i'll try my hand at the ceiling again.
tower rock may be a chosspile, but godammit it's a fun heap.

Sean is my wife's cousin. If you go to his website, go to biography, click on family, and then scroll to the bottom you will see a picture of Sean with his friend Conrad Anker.

ha, if you had seen me down climb the ceiling 3 times before I found the right holds, then catch my breath on the jugs just after the roof for another 10 minutes before finishing, you wold see the desperation. Can't wait for tower of power, gold digger, and the quest.L K Day wrote:Good work guys! Thanks for sharing the photos, but you make my old test piece look kinda easy. My wife attended Sean's wedding in Montana this summer and got to meet Conrad. She said that Conrad knew all about the RRGCC and Red River Gorge. Unfortunately I did not get to go to the wedding because it was our son's first week back to school and somebody had to stay homedmw wrote:his friend Conrad? you are a name dropper. we love Rad here in Bozo
