By the way Verbal, it was good climbing with you the other day. I hope you start making it down more often.

Did anyone see all the cracks they filled with cement at Shag crag. I was up there today and its a mad house. The mix is still a little wet, so you can scuplt whatever handhold you want as you go. Just wear old shoes, once the concrete gets on them its impossible to get off.

no dude, they filled them all the way to the top. its dry now and most of the holds have been made. you can still bolt on your favorite plastic piece to make the climb whatever grade you need. they also started a chair lift to take you the top so you never have to lead or climb on your own power. you just strap in, ride to the top then check off the climb in the online guide. its the next step in climbing.

What? I've already been doing that, the ticking that is. In fact, I don't even go down to the Gorge anymore. I just sit at home, surfing the web, looking at pictures of routes and then ticking them. It's a hell of a lot safer and you don't get all those nasty sores on your hands. Leaves open a lot more time for drinking and watching TV too.
