has anyone seen or climbed this in danville?

Access, Rehab Projects, Derbyfests and more...

I work in Danville and I have tried multiple times to climb the rock around here. It is extreme choss. Fun to boulder on, but most of it falls apart in my hands. I would not trust any gear placements though.

I think anticlimbr got the FA a few years ago, celebrated with an atomic butt drop on the summit.

Good point Piggy. I suppose what I should have said is, forget any FA by using mountaineering techniques. Sort of like Devil's Tower. Rogers and Ripley stood on top of it long via a ladder before Wiessner and his crew free climbed it. I stand corrected.

Back in the 90s ,I went to find it. I found the farm and the owners were very nice and allowed me to hike out the ridge. They gave me some vague directions. I spent a nice afternoon bushwacking and never found it. The leaves were on the trees so it wasn't the best time to look. I would love to go back and try again, If anyone would like to join me :roll:
