Even old farts who clip gear need a place to spray...

Onsighted 5.10 at Seneca this past week. Always heard that if you could climb 5.10 at Seneca you could climb 5.10 anywhere. Thought I would put this theory to a test by reversing the process. So now that we are back east and my head is in a better place why not try it. Theory works. Well, at least for 45' of 5.10. Now if only Triple S felt easier, we did 11s in Squamish that were more mellow.

Now I need some projects in the Red to do before we fly away.

WHich 10? there is a big damn difference between Crack of Dawn 10a and Cottonmouth also 10a.

Isn't anyone placing gear these days? I was hoping to start a trad thread to counter piggie's over in the sport forum. Thought the thread title would be the obvious tip off.

Isn't anyone placing gear these days? Come on people spray about your sends on gear. I don't care if it is Stranger Than Paradise or your 200th ascent of Bedtime for Bonzo. Spray on...

I did modern times in the gunks last week. It's the 5.8 that makes good climbers shit their pants. I enjoyed it.

Also did some good climbing in the adirondacks early last week. I've decided that he Adirondacks is the only place I've ever climbed where the ratings are as stiff as seneca.

Seems most of the people I've been running into lately that are plugging gear are from out of town. In the Spring we ran into several from the NE who came to the red just to climb trad - imagine that!

Here's my latest (not so recent?) spray...

Sent Andromeda Strain last month - very happy to have that one under my belt.

And speaking of the Gunks - I got up there in July and sent Rhododendron 5.6-, Baby 5.6/5.8, Arrow 5.8, and High Exposure 5.6+. Awesome day and a half before the rains fell.

Got a couple projects to work - I'll be sure to spray over here too when something goes down!

My goal was to send Inhibitor this fall, but this whole getting married thing got in the way. I finally sent Brontosaurus in July, the day I got engaged.

rj, andromeda is certainly a memorable climb, is it not?
pk, good work. i need to get out to pebble soon.

as for trad spray, i prematurely sprayed my proud trad accomplishments all over the sport thread. sorry 'bout that. i just got all excited about south side of the sky and couldn't hold back any longer. it won't happen again, i promise.
