Interested in private camping near Southern Region?

I think, with good advertising, there is a market for another camping facility further south. Not everyone who climbs in the Red looks forward to trying to SLEEP at Miguel's, even if they love the food and talking with some people after climbing. Obviously, price will be a huge factor, as well as available tent sites, vs. just cabins and such. There is nothing that says a second facility can't have a "community fire pit", where climbers can gather before "crashing", as well as various other small climbing oriented amenities.

So basically they took suburbia and dropped it into a wilderness setting... when I go to the Red I'm trying to get away from all the stuff you just listed... but that's just me.

But Miguel's is not getting away from anything, or a wilderness setting at all. You're in some dude's parking lot, using a flush toilet with running water and pizza ovens. Don't misunderstand, Miguel's has it's attraction for people, but enjoying the wilderness and nature are not two of them

Yasmeen, when you're in the Tetons you don't care who brought what suburbia where. The mountains kinda overwhelm any negative ambiance.

And what? Miguel's isn't more like a crowded mall most weekends than a wilderness experience? Its right on hwy 11, crammed parking lot and tent to tent living. That sounds really backwoods to me.

So,I've found a house off of fixer road that I am buying . It has nine rooms plus a full kitchen and bath.I want to set it up like a condo......You buy your room.......Each room will have a deadbolt door lock(for privacy and gear stowage).Its your room,you have access to a community bathroom and kitchen(re:rifrigerator,stove and one large kitchen cabinet each.)
There will also be a caretaker(a climbing bum who will stay there for the amenities)who will watch over everyones stuff and take care of the the other part of my proposal.
You can rent out your room.Advertise it in climbing.Let your friends stay there.Make money on it if you want!
The only thing that I care about is that the rent gets paid.I think that I want to sell the rooms at $50 per month,9 rooms=$450 a month,All going to the house payment save the other bills(elec,water,gas)We as a collective could have it paid off in a few years.
The best part is,at the end of it all,You will own it!!! So any one interested??

I wouldn't mind a cheap (under 10 bucks) place to camp that is not a total swamp. High ground is the way to go--

I am tired of cleaning mud off my tent when I get home from the Red. But, I wouldn't pay to sleep in a cabin (or some bunkhouse full of stinky climbers and their pets).
