Never thought I'd be pickin' buckeyes, instead of acorns, outta oak trees!
This has been a year for crazy rescues - 19 so far. Last week near Silvermine Arch, we set up a rope rescue system at night directly atop a copperhead rookery. After about 30 minutes they started emerging and all hell broke loose. They were swarming all over the gear.
Two weeks ago we did a litter raise with a 90-pound husky that had fallen to a ledge 50 feet below. Bruised and battered but no broken bones and now back to normal.
What next?

Man, I always hate being from Ohio when these stories come out.
And, Jeff, just be the Kentucky resident Jeff when these things happen!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
