Bachar Tribute

Post by quicksilver »

Just passing this along. John Long (Largo) posted a great tribute about John Bachars Memorial Service at supertopo.com Go to the site and click on Forums - look for John Bachar Memorial Tribute by Largo. Incredible and very moving. Although I know none of these folks but their emotions and words express the bond in the climbing community in a way that is rarely expressed. Having been a better student of climbing as opposed to a great climber it is wonderful to see the humaness of many of the climbers I have read about and admired over the last 18 plus years. Many great pictures. As stated in one post it is likely that there will never be such a gathering of great American climbers for a long time to come. In the end we are all brothers and sisters.
