So, if you ride in the red much, and want something a bit different then the loop, this is a good ride: Start at the military parking lot ride 77 up the phantasia hill (long and sustained, but not too steep). One you get to the top of the hill, the rest of the ride is nice rolling hills to 460. Turn around and head back. Like 22 or so miles. If you are a beast like Tackett, you can ride to 460, turn around, meet your slacker friends halfway up the hill, finish riding down, then come back up and ride to 460 again. Then take the extended gorge loop through beatyville for a nice ~100 miles of rolling hills, with several really hard climbs.

Don: I will NEVER shave my legs. I don't need to be aerodynamic. I scare the wind.

Wes: Spurr Rd is cool, one of my fave Lex rides

A good area to ride is starting at Jeffersonville and riding over to Preston and back via Hope. If you do it counter clockwise there is a killer hill west of Howard's Mill.

Another good area to loop from is Goff's Corner:

Do this one clockwise for full effect:

On the previous one you can do a longer variation by dropping down Hardwick's Creek and coming out in Clay City. Cow Creek hill is sick.

Do this one on a mountain bike and clockwise for the most fun:

And to all you wusses in the east (I did it in less than 11 hours):
