WOW!!! RRGCC has great sponsors!

Post by Josephine »

the RRGCC has some fantastic sponsors and I wanted to let you know about some great opportunities that have just come up! For everyone who volunteers at JATD on 8/1/09 (this saturday) you'll get two great opportunities.

First, on Sunday 8/2, Phonex Paintball is opening up the field to volunteers with free gear rental! All's you pay for is your paint! That's a $30 savings!!! Thank you Red River Outdoors!!!

Then on Monday 8/3 & Tuesday 8/4, Torrent Falls will be open for those who volunteered. A big Thank You to Dr. Bob!

So not only will you have a fun time building trails, making new friends, finding new climbing partners, free lunch from Miguels!!!, playing on a 100 foot slip n slide, free t-shirt (for those who registered early enough!), jammin to the band, free dinner from True North Outfitters!!!, bourbon ball, chances for schwag, and "beverages" - now you can continue the fun for three more days!

:-D

don't forget to RSVP to ensure your free food! Email jatd@rrgcc.org. Please also let us know any tools or supplies you can bring.

we look forward to seeing you there!

Just curious, if you RSVP'd on the Facebook invite should you do it here too?
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

i think it's one or the other - they both go to the same people.

no, the Facebook invite is NOT how to register. That was just informational only. I have asked folks to register either at rrgcc.org or send email to jatd@rrgcc.org. If you haven't done this and are planning to attend, please contact me via jatd@rrgcc.org RIGHT AWAY.

for future reference, Facebook will never be an official way to register for any RRGCC events. Due to the shoddy turnout for the Roadside Trail Day and a need to ensure the resources of our generous sponsors are not wasted, I've taken a militant approach to the this aspect of event planning for JATD. Please note I do not speak for the RRGCC but I am fairly certain this is a policy. Someone can spank me if I'm wrong.

Please also note (again, not speaking for the RRGCC) that anyone who is not registered *and confirmed* (see JATD thread) for JATD will not be fed. We love you for volunteering and appreciate the fantastic response but I will need those confirmations if you want to eat.

The confirmation should get a reply, such as 'thanks' or 'see you there.' I replied to the email message, but one never knows whether or not email makes it.

is this an offer to take over the mail list for the next event, Caribe? And what about the emails sent out from JATD... I didn't get replies to most of those and had to badger some people to confirm. Will there be quid pro quo in the future?

I suppose I could set up an autoreply when I do this again next year, tho I had one but it only went to first emails. I think I will do this if people don't think it's too much of an intrusion on their email inbox
