Pimpin' RRGCC Events?
Looking for people to forsake the high morals of RRC.com to pimp RRGCC events on RC.com. RC.com is the most highly trafficked rock climbing site on the internet, sometimes receiving over 40,000 unique visitors per day. RC.com also drives traffic to rrgcc.org (as does this site). Who would help a brutha out and make posts about RRGCC events over on RC.com? Lots of posts in a thread keeps it more visible on the RC.com front page. Currently open for being pimped is JATD: http://www.rockclimbing.com/calendar/De ... y_592.html

It means I want to see you posting on RC.com when I start an event thread.

Ya know that first link is the calendar. Here is the thread that you need to post to: http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/for ... _collapsed;

just to be clear - i'm assuming the reason we're posting on rc.com is so that the thread remains on the top of the page, right? in that case we should be making a comments to the rc.com thread on a regular basis. thread stays on top - then more people come to the event.

OK, let's take out the word, "Pimpin'" and make it "promoting". So what Bill is saying is that we could use your support on Rockclimbing.com to help promote our events. By you all posting in event threads, it keeps the thread alive and unburied ... and promotes (we can switch back to pimp here) our event advertisements/annoucements.

I didn't really think we'd have to break this down. Are we really going to let other areas outdo us? Here are some numbers from RC.com:
Ouray Ice Festival 2009 - 428 posts, 27,624 views
Rumney Ruckus 09 - 170 posts, 4,621 views
New River Rendezvous 2009 - 87 posts, 4,125 views
Rocktoberfest 2008 - 20 posts, 2,218 views (11 of those posts were from me)
This is just a warm-up for Rocktoberfest folks. My RRGCC staff bonus depends on upping the numbers so don't let me down
