seems like everywhere I look these days, i see more and more climbing specific clothing. with new companies popping up like strange blemishes after an evening with anticlimber, I have to ask...
why??????
Seems like all climbing specific clothing is
-overpriced
-really really really really ugly.
does anyone here routinely wear climbing specific clothing in public?
I just don't feel like climbing is mainstream or cool enough to warrant people making clothing to complement the lifestyle. Check this skateboarder out
trendy shoes, sagged pants, free flowing hair and a 'fuck it' attitude. Good! I like this guy
now exibit b.
do you people really go outside looking like this?
Why all this climbing clothing??

Why all this climbing clothing??
"It’s a not so secret secret that people who call themselvs trad climbers dont actually climb. They just post shit on rocklimbing.com all night while masturbating to Parrollelojams."
I had a classmate who wore kickers all the time....but he was a non-climber asian and canadian...so what the hell did he know.
I am not cool enough to wear climbing clothes anywhere but out at the crags...except t-shirts...but IMO they don't count.

manpris are in now, don't you know this. Before I answer I have to ask, what about climbing shirts/ I wear my garb collected from climbing events all the time because that free shit makes up 90% of my non-work clothing. I realize I am lacking completely in style and grace, however, I do not own any manpris but the shorts I wear to the crag are one of two pairs of short I own and they make it out the bar on occasion as well.
How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared

kramp, how come you never told me i looked so cool? oh yeah, i think i remember now that first comment as you were pointing and laughing at me from across the gas station parking lot (where's the 12-year-old girl who you beat up and stole her pants?) JACKASS!!! 8)
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening
Great! Now I'm not a real participant of a not real sport!pigsteak wrote:the real question is why rustyvag is noticing all this stuff...metrosexual perhaps?
and just as awful are the blue jeans at the crag.....why are non-climbing clothes allowed at the crag? oh yeah, cause climbing ain't a REAL sport....
I'm going out to my pretend wall and fall off.....
Shoot me now.....
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
