Climbing in Gunnison, Colorado.

Post by michaelzr2 »

Fortunately or unfortunately I'm in Gunnison Colorado until August. Does anyone have any beta for the area or know of someone that climbs here. Thanks.

the black canyon is one of the most incredible places to climb ANYWHERE. find someone who KNOWS (better be sure of this) what is going on and tag along. if i remember correctly there is a gear shop in gunnison with a great staff.

watch out for poison ivy on the descent, check in the climbing guide on the north rim and remember the black credo "a rope, a rack and the shirt on your back".

have fun and ABOVE ALL find someone who truly knows the canyon.

regards.

No paper or cloth products perhaps.
