bolts for boulders

Innocent subjects that took a turn for the worst.

Is it cool to pop in a bolt (w/ red tag) below the starting holds of a boulder problem to make sure posers, gumbies, and noobs don't poach your proj?

yeah brah! it's your nature, why not let the noobs know?

Bolting a boulder is like bolting a crack. Sure, you can do it, but WHY?

I'm sure that there are thousands of visitors just KILLING to get on your "proj" boulder. Just send the damn thing and don't worry about it

My name is Sam Douglass and I love to pose for photo shoots holding on to a jug with only one hand (and no feet!) with my best friend Ian.

brah.

it's, like, totally easy to dismiss boulder bolting. i mean, i get it. but consider the many benefits:

1) easy to find problems.
2) your spotter can go in direct.
3) you can put a red tag on it.
4) shiny!
5) you can groan about the cost of development beyond time spent.

win - win.

think about it. this is the future!!!

i see the future with you man. sit starts will be much easier with a hanger to hook a finger in. i wont even go into awesomeness it will bring to foot work. if we put a couple bolts up high we could tie a ladder to them and then just make everything V-rung..... dont just see the future people, be the future

nope, gotta put that starting bolt....the placard is going to give route beta, what holds are off, my boulder problem name (and a history of how it got its name), and a website addy where you can score double the points Ray gives you on here.
