yeah i have never met an egotistical number chasing sport climber before. hey my ego doesn't feel coddled at all!Meadows wrote:It's more of the venom spewed by the 5.6 to barely 5.9 trad climbers who talk about how pure their climbing is, and to them, hard sport climbers are egotistical number chasers. It's self-coddling of their own egos.
Does a "TRAD RULES" mentality = weakness?

I like your style Danny. I get the feeling you love climbing.
You are right. It makes no sense bashing other climbers. Propaganda. It kinda feels like propaganda. We are trying to coerce others into doing what is right(clip bolts). For some, it is super clear. You climb at the Red you should be sport climbing because that is the best that the Red has to offer. Everything else is a compromise.
I hope this doesn't sound like an attack on you. I respect your style. Keep it up.

actually, it is becasue they can barely get up 5.10 sport lines, so they go seek out the 5.6 trad lines.....bjdm151 wrote:Not my style, I clip. I just think its retarded how much bashing there is. Some people might not care that the best routes at The Red are sport, they just want to do their own thing.
