Does a "TRAD RULES" mentality = weakness?

Placing a cam? Slotting a nut? Slinging a tree?

"trad is rad"="can't climb 5.10"?

When he got down he proceded to say he used the face as much as possible, because he did not know how to jamb. After words he was headed to do send Twinkie @ Phantasia. He says he can smoke twinkie, but barely made it up Africa, go figure! Trad rules! .12 sport= .9 trad
I love traddies and how they put their silly handjams on a golden throne. Ok, ok, so someone a while back was patient enough to give your gumby ass the rocket science twenty minute tutorial on how to stick your hand in a crack and move a thumb. Damn! Its like you guys know so much! I guarantee I can teach a flat chested sorority superstar how to handjam way before a traddie can learn to hold on to a hold less positive than the handle of his sticker covered planet rock coffee mug.

No problem, i'll give you that, definatly was hang, struggle, hang struggle and probably will be for a while  . I probably should take you up on that offer to teach sometime.

Really? you think so. I think sport technique is easier than trad, it's just more immediate, you see a hold you grab it, more immediate than trying to figure out how to get the most friction out of a crack.

pshh, if only it were that simple. Jamming is the easy part. Remembering exactly how you placed your twenty pieces of passive gear on a 60 foot 5.7 hand crack with complete disregard for your follower (who cares if your he has to spend hours hammering out your stoppers, passive gear is just so much more rad, brah...) is the hard part! But, it has to be done... Otherwise, you won't be able to vividly spray about your two pitch day to everyone in a 60 foot radius.

hmm.. those traddies appear to be small-rock-climbing using trad gear. Although this is a novel idea, the traddies should pick up a couple more crash-mattresses and attempt to scale the small rock sans ropes. Props to the camera man who, in the final shot, actually deceives you into thinking the traddies are scaling a rock bigger than 15 feet!

i must say, after watching that vid i have to agree, it really is just bouldering with a rope and gear that is pointless past ten feet. kinda cheesy, brah.

are you still spraying about how much cooler sport climbing is than trad? maybe you should learn to enjoy all styles of climbing, then maybe you might discover that not every trad climb is a crack, easy, or a one move wonder.
