London calling,
I am coming to sample the delights of Red River Gorge later this year, can any reccomend places to stay that are close by. Its my main holiday of the year and want to avoid camping!
Otherwise hostels, bunkhouses, B&B, something with a good atmpshere, close to the climbing and a hot shower!
Many thanks.

You may want to try True North Outfitters. They have a hostel: http://www.truenorthoutfitters.com/TNO_Menu/hostel.html
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.
True north is nice, but if you want something more private a cabin is the way to go. I've never been to any of the cabins, but i hear Red River Outdoors has some decent ones. www.redriveroutdoors.com
Lago Linda's Hideaway is another option and its closed to the southern region were most of the good sport climbing is.

This article covers most places to stay during your visit, although it neglects to mention Lil Abner's. I'd go for Red River Outdoors, the Hostel, or one of Lago's Cabins. A perk to staying with Red River Outdoors is access to Torrent Falls. Enjoy your trip.

Lago Linda's cabins would be my recommendation. The Red and Green Twin cabins have what you need without being to extravagant. Quiet, nice people and a nice lake to take a dip in after a hard day climbing, plus you get a nice view of the sunset. And if my memory serves me correctly, Linda is from England and she loves the foreign travelers.
