after going to the new river rondy i must say two things:
1) climber festivels are about the same everywhere.
having said that.
2) i don't think they party half as well as we do.
it was a great event but the red crew does it better.
good try new river, maybe next year.

Oh, the rrr is still smaller than the nrr in comparison to the number of people that come to it, but anti is right it doesn't matter how many people show up at the nrr they just don't know how to throw down like the red river crew.
One big problem too many authority figures walking around, it felt like a police state.

they put on a heck of an event and the area is nice, for some unknown reason the idea of a level campground has not made it that far east.
maybe it was the rain or the lack of hookers.
it was nice to see so many friends out there and run into some lost ones. well, maybe ill go again.

oh but we were partying it up at a cabin i guess, while the band played..
i think the rendezvous was lots of fun. from my recollection, much more free booze and food than at the red. my only complaint. plus, i got to listen to JR-isms all weekend. that definitely biased my opinion about the event in a positive way
