I hate them...or more appropriately I hate their owners. I guess its because we're outside now more then we were when we lived in Lexington, or we are going to more popular places, but the number of unleashed dogs seems greater.
Yesterday we took a bike ride through suburban Denver, public parks and trials with a leash law. There were a number of walkers and runners who had unleashed dogs, but the best part was they had their little retractable leash thingies in their hands...just in case. I was in full on rage mode but kept my mouth shut. I should just start spraying hate, at least it would make me feel better.
Jill sums it all up much better here...

Unleashed Dogs
you have a point. unleashed dogs run amuck. your pain is noted.
..however, you've got to realize that a crag or a forest is one of the only places a dog can be free, unleashed, and doing what a dog is supposed to do--including running amuck, wrestling with other dogs, sniffing out smells, etc. it's just not possible to do that in the city (including parks where unleashed dogs are illegal) or in any public space. try throwing a ball with your dog in any public park, including a dog park. you will get a ticket.
i vote for the dogs.

Cranky.... crotchety... bitter....are y'all listening to yourselves? Children run amuck and get into your food and make noise and throw dirt (one once filled my new climbing shoes with dirt at the cliff!). Some of the adults too (they are never tied up at the cliff). So, I think everyone can realize that the world doesn't revolve around any one individual, so we all have to raise our levels of frustration tolerance a bit and be a little more accepting
UNLESS YOU DRIVE SLOW IN THE FAST LANE ON THE INTERSTATE AND BLOCK ALL OF THE FAST DRIVERS--THEN, YOU SHOULD BE SHOT!

Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.
