Ok, I spend 14-16 hours every weekend driving on the interstate between the Red and Atlanta. I have a serious question:
Why the fuck do people get into the far left lane on the interstate (AKA "the fast lane") and just stay there and drive slow and let traffic build FOR MILES behind them and not get over to the right??? They even stay there when there is nobody in the right lane and make every car go around them.
I cannot imagine why someone would do this. Are they passive-aggressive, or just oblivious to their suroundings? What the hell is it? I can't imagining just staying over there knowing you are being a totally inconsiderate pain-in-the-ass for all these other drivers.
Help me understand Please....
Why? Why? Why? Explain this to me!

Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.
Here is my every situation explanation of people's actions; THEY ARE DUMB! People that do things like that are oblivious of other people around them and the impact of their actions on them.

my favorite trick is to go around the person, and pull back right in front of them. try to make eye contact in the rearview mirror, and then signal for them to move over. if this does not work, then slowly reduce your speed, forcing them to go out right around you. if they pull back in the far left lane, do it again.
do this without anger, and you might just change the world for better.

Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

Because people misconstrue it as a 'fast lane.' It is not a 'fast lane.' It is a passing lane, to be used for passing. Yes, it pisses me off too.
