Knowledge is helpful, the clerk should be politely informed why reusable bags should be used and maybe then they will help in the waste reduction process of plastic shopping bags. Because I am sure that all of these stories are helping the cause.

gotta say that after reading this thread I have been giving back or requesting no bag for things that I can walk out of the store in my hands - thank!
