While I can't totally agree with the cyborgs comments, I do think it's a little silly to camp out on a project for months and months hoping to some day send it. Just have someone else do it and get it open.
If your goal is to have your name in the book and online guide just have your stronger buddy add you to the FA list. You know... The same way pigs is on everything bolted past June of 2006.
I voted yes, btw.

rhunt, maybe you should go back to first grade and learn how to read
Just in case you are still confused, yes I have, and no I am not going away.
While this statement does not directly specify whether or not I have ever bolted a route, I believe it very strongly hints at the fact that I have.I have never closed a route I put up, and I never will.

if the bolter did not bolt the route, then noone would be able to climb it. therefore, he can have some time to work it. however, red tagging for an extended period of time closes the piece of rock to other bolters who could open the route faster. and thats lame.
"It’s a not so secret secret that people who call themselvs trad climbers dont actually climb. They just post shit on rocklimbing.com all night while masturbating to Parrollelojams."
With all the routes existing in the red, you would have to be fairly whinny to get upset about a couple of routes that a piece of tape hanging from them. That route didn't truly exist till the bolts were put in, named and added to a guide.
