Depends who you're asking. Some call it a double bowline. Some call it a rewoven bowline. Others just call it a bowline.
I saw the rewoven single bowline tied the other day at the crag. I like it! Reweaving a double bowline is too complicated however.

Rock and Ice, Dec. 09 issue, "Not the Knot," page 30. Makes me glad I use the trace-8. :D

Lynn Hill's 8 untied because it was not an 8 rewoven. The knot in question was likely not a double bowline. It certainly was not a rewoven bowline. In any case stick to the 8, its easier and you don't have to think about it. Thinking about something--anything--is not a good thing.
