Dogs

Post by Dares »

Hello, i know this subject is much debated but i'm having a hard time with searching throught the forums on it. I know that dogs are banned @ Muir, but is there anywhere else that i should be aware of? Can anyone apply for a dog permit through the webers or is it more of a close friend type of deal?

I have a 6 month old lab that i am thinking about bringing with me for Easter weekend. Wanted to get feelings from other dog owners etc. I always keep her leashed mainly for her safety as she is still a puppy and will get into trouble. Anyways had a great time last year in the Red, definatley worth the 11 hour drive.

Thanks,
Travis

Shit, I lost that link to dog recipes.

Muir is the only place that has restrictions in the gorge (other than the usual, keep them on a leash etc). Not sure how the permissions work exactely but it seems to be for people who have given a lot of their time/energy developing Muir or have some other special arrangement through the Weber's.

If you're bringing a dog, mark Muir off the list unless you plan on leaving it in your car or something which kinda sucks for the dog. Just go anywhere else and you'll be fine.
