Cinci Tea Party!
Who let these banks write bad loans and resell them? Why were so many people duped into thinking they can afford them? Why can some seventh graders not read? Why don't we have wide spread good parenting? Why are the rich getting so rich? Why are the poor getting poorer? Why is there so much corruption? Why can't we be a renewable society?
Instead of protesting, go use that energy for good, volunteer time for a good cause instead of just complaining.

Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
Duped? People weren't duped, they just were stupid..period. My GenX generation with all its entitlements felt they were owed a house they could not afford. I am so sick of hearing about all the poor people who were tricked/duped.TradMike wrote:Who let these banks write bad loans and resell them? What's so "tricky" about mortgages? You qualify for X amount at Y interest rate. Then for the real problem, but still easily understandable. You qualify for X amount at A interest rate for the first B years. After that, you're interest rate will go to C.
If you can barely scrape by in the first instance, you damn sure don't need to be signing up for the second type.
Then other situation that destroyed the idiots were the people using their house as a bank. Property value has increased 100% because demand is the highest it's ever been because of all the dumbasses taking the second loan type I mentioned. Now these idiots are rich. They all of a sudden have $100,000 in equity. What should be done with? A home equity mortgage because they deserve that new boat and vacation...

You miss the point! I do have strong convictions, but this or any other protest has little to no impact. My political convictions are defined by who I support politically, not by attendance at some protest!Saxman wrote:Some conviction you have there.michaelarmand wrote: I will admit that if the weather is good (like 60 with sun) I very well may be at the red instead.
And seriously, is politics really that important? Would you place it above the things you love to do such as climbing?
