That's just looney. And as for the "warrantless wiretaps" that the left had their panties in such a wad about, it looks like Obama is now for 'em. http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2009/0 ... s-wit.html

What? Obama's turned his back on the constitution?

How's that aggressively deregulated, free-market capitalism working out for you? :D

"Regulated" firearms doesn't mean banned, just paperwork prohibitive (so far). Regardless, gun control is about as affective as the war on drugs. We (they) get the opportunity to convict people that screw up but the buy in is hosing law biding, responsible citizens. Great in theory, horrible in practice.

I'd rather my government concern itself with roads, socialized infrastructure, and health care. Kinda with the right wing on this one. I like shooting guns.

Of course, none of this will really matter when the nuclear winter shows up.

Habeas Coprus was suspended under Lincoln and Roosevelt as well- history is not a liberal's friend... old glory predated the rainbow flag by around two centuries.

Much better than any socialist system would be treating me! I agree some important regulations have been missing. But don't blame capitalism, europe and the rest of the socialist world are in even more pain. Iceland's government collapsed!

And for those who say "give it a chance" - socialism actaully was tried right here in America. And it failed...

Regulating firearms is the start of it all. Gun grabs are the last step. Registration is the first.

Ask the great citizens of Australia and Great Britain how things went down. Once a solid registration is in place, they know exactly where to find what they want to find.
Sure is a lot of fun while you're doing it...

Sorry, MSNBC didn't cover the pilgrims experiment with socialism. You can read the same history here if the free republic is a scary place for you....

"Looks like it is time to start writing representatives...and support the NRA, not just agree with them. " Yes, writing our representatives is good but the nra is not the best gun rights lobby. Go to gunowners.org thats the gun owners of america and use their action tools. The nra is basically a gun controlling lobby in disguise.
