that's Fred Beckey in the photo! The epitome of 'crusty old FAMOUS climber for sure. My hero, when I get that old. Nice new rope at least.

about 20 yrs less crusty I believe. but certainly in the crusty-division of climbers. He's the best thing that ever happened to rock and ice gear!
