Try Mt Lemmon, Rifle Colorado, Enchanted Tower New Mexico, Anything at higher elevations, sinks canyon, and that place in Wyoming--wild iris? lilly something? .
Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.

oh.... and the Red SUCKS in the summer. Buggy, hot, sweaty, humid, buggy. BLECCCHHH!

If you are coming in mid-summer, i wouldnt reccomend the red. Go out west. Sunny, dry, cool in the evening. Colorado and Wyoming are probably the way to go.

Check out Vedauwoo, WY if you like Trad (particularly off-width)
I have not been, but I hear Wild Iris (also in WY) is good.

CO has tons of everything and its not far from Vedauwoo. Boulder, CO is maybe 2hrs away, and RMNP is even less.
