L Day, I think you misunderstand the intent of Hamas. They continue to annoy Israel, over the course of time, increasing as they deem fit, which results in the inevitable, and somewhat disproportionate, smackdown. All those helpless Palestinians are now total victims in most worldviews and Hamas gets a ton more sympathy/empathy/explosives. That's the current nature of this struggle.

Of course there is plenty of blame to go around. Palestinians do live in an apartheid state where flashpoint Jewish settlements with questionable legality have water/roads/infrastructure and Palestinians barely have food. You can't really say blowing shit up is an inappropriate reaction.

It is, in summary, a totally effed up situation. The opportunity for a 2 state solution has passed and there's no way in hell Israel will allow the Arab population (~70%) to vote. It's Apartheid, only problem is most Western Powers are supporting the Afrikaans as much if not more than the groups that are struggling. No productive actions have been taken as far as the US is concerned since the first Bush guy. I doubt anything's going to change in my lifetime unless it's the total elimination of one or the other.

No, Tommy doesn't use trad as an excuse like all the pansies around here. He just does it all at a high level and doesn't whine about trad bein so much "harder".
