Out on the open highway there both quite easy to drive, but get on a twisty road, after dark, in the rain, in stop & go traffic, while trying to text message and you’ll find the automatic transmission is much easier to climb, I mean drive.
Then you should practice more in the manual while on the twisty road, in the dark, in the rain, in stop and go traffic while texting, instead of going to the gym and always practicing the automatic.

Good point. Start sending me your paycheck so I can quit my job and spend all my time in the Red practicing Trad, oh yeah I'll need you to babysit my 4 year old also.

What the? Hey OW, running a marathon is harder than sport climbing. I would be able to run a marathon if I practiced. Therefore, if you'll agree to giving me your paycheck and watching my kid I'll practice and become good. Then I'll prove myself wrong in the end when I realize that it's the practice that makes the skill feel easier, not that it is in fact easier. We are waaaay down the rabbit hole at this point.

I climbed 12+ trad after not going into the gym for years, and only climbing sometimes on weekends, since I had a daughter as well. Guess you should stop cryin and try harder.

The rabbit hole is the official transition mechanism between the Trad forum and the Hijacked forum. Just greasing the wheels, that's all.

I like Jimmy Pages' weasel / bunny hole analogy better.
