I bouldered "alone" most of the summer. Sometimes I wouldn't take risks and drop off of bad or high landings, sometimes I would. Just depended on the vibe. While solo bouldering is cool, I really like bouldering with a few really motavated people. I think my single best day was at hp40 with SCIN and Artsay. Just one day worked me so hard that I couldn't do anything the next day at all.

I don't boulder at all anymore. Had to give it up or give up climbing completely when my elbows finally gave out at some point in the future. I do everything I can to treat my tendinitis but evrey time I take up bouldering again it comes back worse than before.

Better to climb easier stuff than not to climb at all.

Bouldering alone is way cool, maybe not as fun....but very profound.....are you motivated or not?....only you know!

Pretty unsafe often, though. Twice last year I got messed up thinking too much about the problem vs where to place the pad.

I have rolled down the hill, and into the creek more tha once.......

I've done that also with "spotters" so ........... i say: just do it, but be carefull.

I agree WT I like bouldering but so far most of my injuries(that linger) are from bouldering...Of course I suck at bouldering so it was easier to give up.
Hey Wes did you notice after a day or two at HP40 that your finger pads are raw?

Last fall I did three days on at rocktown, one rest day, then three days on at HP40, one rest day, then two more days on. I was bleeding from 4 tips, one of which took two weeks to heal.
