Married To A Climber

Post by whatahutch »

My wife used to climb a lot, now I can only get her to come out once or twice a season, maybe only four times a year. Day trips only.
I was wondering if anyone else that is married climbs with their wife or husband? If so, how much? If not, why?

Did your wife "climb a lot" up to and just after you two were married?
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

mine tried it, broke a nail and decided it wasn't for her but realizes its important to me and knows I'm gonna go so she is happy that I'm happy like the way I'm happy that she's happy when she does things she likes to do- she does like the occasional hike especially on vacation

My wife doesn't climb, but her husband, brother, sister-in-law, and father-in-law all climb. She knows more about climbing than a lot of climbers do. She is also really good about letting me climb, even though I don't get out as much as I would like. Hopefully she will also have a son and daughter that climb. My son is already starting to get into it.
