we camped recently at the arhes site. never found the bouldering, but i blame the dark and the wine. it was pretty nice, you have to dig through some gravel to get your tent stakes in the ground, but he said he was going to be opening up the large barn for covered camping for bad weather days. Don't know what the progress on it is, but they also allow individual campfires
Its privately owned, but the guy is super cool
Its a change from mig's its quiet, but not so far away as linda's so its okay for climbing in the northern region and there is a restaurant about 3 minutes away that is going to be open all winter that serves amazing pie and cheeseburgers

i like to camp in the field by the cave-spring on fixer road next to the watercrossing. Its a great place to camp and a good place if you wish to shoot a pistol into the banks or 4wheel when you arent climbing. there's usually a few pretty cool people there to camp with too and you can party as loudly as you wish event late into the night. it's free and it's a fun place. what more can ya ask for these days? GWC you would love this spot it is potentially full of many years' worth of red river camping memories. dont have to thank me now jus enjoy!

yeah, and don't forget to have all your 'friends' dress up in animal costumes so you can 'accidentally' shoot them when the liquor and smoke kick in!woodchuck008 wrote:Sounds promising. I'll pack up a few cases of ammo next time I'm headed down. Nothing beats guns, campfires and booze in the evenings for clean fun.
Ahh, I loved that game. . . you never run out of volunteers . . .
