I was just wondering what's going on with this??

http://climbingnarc.com/2008/11/kentuck ... to-nowhere

And... what can we do as a climbing community to stop this from happening??

That right over top of some of the better climbing in Muir Valley. The Surf, Arsenal, and Solarium. The best route in the red might be lost. Better get on Bundle of Joy(unrepeated) soon.

if there is something to be thankful for, it is that like the bridge to nowhere this project is likely to expensive to ever get built. building a bridge or filling in muir valley would in all likelyhood be cost prohibitive for a smallish road like 715.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.

Looking on the bright side, maybe there could be exit 1a: Great Wall, exit 1b: deBibliotek, etc....

Kirker forwarded the mail to me this morning. If you want to write comments, send them to:

Better yet, think of the easy roadside access,,,via a looong 200ft.+ rappel into the valley from above. How unscenic can this be? Have they no idea? Somebody in department must have a friend/brother in law in construction just waiting for a big fat promised highway contract. Stinks.

My father-in-law and I were one of the green dots. Please send gifts of appreciation to...

Just kidding! And actually, we were on our way to Muir when we were rear-ended.
