B ush's police state
I don't think anyone used the "power of the state" to access this guy's records. It's called the "power of the internet" or the "power of the curious cop," or "journalists doing their jobs."
You can go spend $40 right now and get every public record of any kind relating to this guy. In the first few hours after the debate you could've gotten for a couple hundred bucks, his tax returns and social security status. Why you would blame Obama for what I would guess most news outfits (including Fox, I'm sure) started doing the instant that guy's name was mentioned is just plain stupid.
Apparently we're not supposed to question anything the right wingers say. You should just believe that this guy is a model citizen who is making $280,000/yr as a plumber. Just ignore the truth that he earns around $42,000 and would benefit much more from O Bama's tax plan. Just ignore the truth that he would have better health care under O Bama. Just ignore the truth that, like the vast majority of Americans, he will never fall into the tax brackets that will pay more under O bama. Just because in the right wing fantasy world we're all CEO's of major Wall Street firms we should believe McPalin's continuation of Shrub's policies will make us all rich and Dog forbid we question the details. Not questioning is just stupid.
Oh wait. I forgot who started the thread...

Read it again.Alan Evil wrote:I don't think anyone used the "power of the state" to access this guy's records.
from the Columbus Dispatch:
"Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department."
I think that qualifies as "power of the state" and I have little doubt about who they feel they serve. Like I said, double standards.
Are you saying the Ohio Attorney General accessed the information? How do you know it wasn't some secretary or assistant? Once again you make assumptions without proof and then when given proof you will ignore it.
"Power of the State" means that the State is using the power. This is far more likely to be an actual case of "a few bad apples" breaking the rules out of curiosity than an organized investigation by "the State."
This incident is under investigation and until they reach their conclusions you don't know shit.

It appears that there are lots of "bad apples" that work for the state, and they are using the power they have to access Joe's records in an attempt to destroy him. You've yet to condemn that. And I know why. It's because if it takes a "few bad apples" to get Joe, you're good with that. After all you're pretty relentless in that effort as well. You're one of those people who thinks that anyone who dares question O bama must be destroyed.
While we won't know who the guilty parties are that are breaking the law until the investigation is completed, I'm pretty comfortable with condeming anyone that would use the power of their position to do this kind of shit.

I really don't give a shit about Joe. Fuck him. He's just another dumbass that jumped in front of a camera to ask a bullshit question. He's a deluded fool that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. If someone violated the law inspecting his records they should be charged and it was wrong of them to do it. But as far as that stupid cracker getting "destroyed" I don't care. His question was based on a lie so fuck him. If he weren't a liar this would all be moot. He would be a licensed plumber who was poised to buy the business that employed him, he would be making something close to $250,000/year, and increased taxes would be a major burden to him. But that's not the case.
You're using the bad behavior of a few people to paint the entire media world as illegitimate. Try turning that shit around on your own little group of pundits that just make shit up without even attempting research. Facts are facts and lies are lies. Facts don't have opinions, lies are told by those protecting their opinions from facts.

And on this we pretty well agree. I'll only add that just because you're wrong about almost everything, it doesn't necessarily mean you're lieing. Perhaps you're just wrong.
