This outfit looks like it could have been on the 90 % off rack

meh, John Edwards spent that much on his hair. I'm actually surprised the amount spent is that low.

Y'know, I've thought about that haircut thing. What was it? $400? He needed a haircut, a professional stylist met him at the airport, on the tarmac, and charged him for his (or her) trouble. I can guarantee you that haircut took all day for the person that did the cut even if he was only actually washing, drying, and cutting for a half hour. He/she had to gather up all their tools (how many portable hair stylists do you know of?), get out to the airport, go through all the airport and secret service security, get set up to do this quickly on a plane, do the cut and get back to the shop. He/she probably had at least one helper along to carry stuff. I'm just a carpenter and when I have a job that requires my helper it's $400/day minimum. That haircut probably saved John Edwards three hours or more during his day. How much do you think an hour of time for a Vice-presidential candidate is worth? Definitely more than $400. It's the super-rich's way of trying to make someone with working class roots look elitist. I'd say buying someone $150,000 worth of clothes in 5 weeks is about as elite as it gets.
