Cigarette butts

Found and packed out about 10-15 butts below amarillo sunset and samurai.........

cig butts rank up there with unruly dogs as the things I hate the most at climbing areas. somehow people don't see cig butts as litter. time to consider no smoking rules at the cliff.

I hate smoking as much as the next non smoker but come on, no smoking at the cliffs? for a Fire ban I can see but in the long run we have a better chance of Bush winning the next election.

No, but it is time to call people out for tossing their butts. Many smokers don't even consider cigarette butts litter...they've been trained to just toss them, whether its out the car window, or on the ground at work. They don't differentiate between those environments and climbing area's, but they should.

If people give smokers a rough time at the cliff every time they toss a cigarette, then eventually they'll start to realize that it does adversely affect the beauty of an area, and it is definitely litter. Most of them aren't ass holes(at least no more than the average climber, who has been proven to be an asshole), they are just completely oblivious.

smokers should rot. why would you participate in an athletic outdoor endeavor, and then kill yourself with cigs?

umm being completely oblivious is not an excuse and can often make you an asshole.
