It was the best climbing magazine around.

Not sure I'd say they were a victim of the economy...even though they mentioned that in the press release.

IMO they were a victim of being a company that only put out a handful of issues a year to a market segment the size of a pinhead.

That's basically true. They had the founder of RedHat giving them money to stay alive for a few years because it was his pet project. My guess is that he was sick of doing it, especially during this financial mess, so the ride was over.
