Bouldering in the gorge

Post by utare »

Hey everybody,

I'm new to kentucky and i'm looking to make my first trip out to the gorge before the month is out. I'm looking for some good bouldering since this is gonna be a solo trip. I usually run 5.11's and the occasional 5.12 if luck is on my side (which it rarely is).

any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I only said that because the bouldering in the Red is sparce.

You would be better off going to Miguel's and getting a partner. Or, post a new topic in the hook-up forum!

trenchtown and buffalo farm are probably the most classic bouldering areas in the red. buy a copy of the bouldering guidebook.

awesome thanks for the tips. I loved the bouldering climb time had, it was a blast when i was there last time. Like i said i'm new to the gorge so i don't really know much about it so i'm trying to pick up as much as i can as fast as possible. I'll be sure to check out the hook up forum and maybe find somebody near me to partner up with. thanks for the input everyone.
