Horatio Felacio, Loren went the whole way dude (so did Leah, the badass climberchick who seconded :)). Through the poison ivy and everything, then raced back to Miguel's to take a shower and scrub it all off. And yeah he's been leading trad for under a year. Definitely a badass.

it's definitely the only route i've ever done that required hiking through poison ivy, belaying in poison ivy and topping out through poison ivy. also, for the record, showering afterwards doesn't necessarily prevent spontaneous outbreaks of the shit...but that crack was worth it. i'm just glad i was the one wearing a shirt...

Showering and washing the clothes will greatly reduce the outbreak. It helps to avoid breaking any part of the plant,too.
