VP debate

Post by krampus »

so what are your opinions? (short and concise please)

Personally, I don't think sarah palin answered a single question and when she did not even understand what question was being asked she just winked and talked about being and energy producing state, and it never hurts to mention your kids.
Biden, on the other hand, I thought did pretty good at throwing out numbers and when he dodged a question it at lease looked like he was answering it.

I thought the presidential debate did not sway me in one way or the other as they both pretty much said the same thing, but ultimately, I can not tolerate another four years of someone in the white house who can not pronounce nuclear.

I think Palin did a lot better than many, including me, thought she would. I do think Biden did a great job and will help the ticket. If he had directly gone after Palin, it would not have gone over well. I think Palin would be less of an issue for more people if McCain were younger.

She sounded like she was reading from a brochure. No examples or details. If her performance were a persuasive essay, I'd give her a D.

Biden sounded and acted like what he is.. a politician, it what keeps in you in the senate for 30 plus years, stale, cynical and untruthful, Palin was pleasant but isn't up to the role handed to her- they both sucked and so do obama and mccain

I completely agree. I my seventh grade students handed in a paper in the style of Palin's speach, I would give them a D or F. No substance at all. She sounded like the kid who has no clue what they are talking about so they just write down all the fluff and buzz words they know.

I can hardly hold my head up right now. I played a drinking game last night where I had to take a shot every time I heard the work Maverick. Brutal....

Seriously though, being "folksy", a "Washington outsider", and a "Maverick" will do one thing... dig the hole deeper and ensure our economy sucks for the forseeable future. We need leadership with business sense that can fix this crap. I don't know for sure that Obama / Biden is the answer, but I'm positive it's not McCain and the cheerleader.

Agreed. Palin did better than I thought she would. Goes to show you how hours of rehearsal and a well written script can make someone look like he or she might know what they are talking about. Clearly most people didn't by it. That was my first time hearing from Biden and I was mildly impressed. He will serve his purpose as the experience elder statesman that the Obama ticket needs.

it is amazing what coaching can do..... watching that debate and then something like the Katie Couric interview- wow. I wanted to slap her when she started talking about how terrible it is that countries like Pakistan and Iran don't give women any rights.... what about the rights she is trying to take away from American women? I hate that bitch.
