What do you consider cheap? Does it have to be SS or can it be carbon steal?

Hangers I'd say less than 2.00 (10mm) from what i've seen so far. Not sure about bolts (3/8 hole) still checking around. I think they better be SS considering the environment they will be in.

I cut my hangers from bed frames.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

looks like we've been using plated steel all along, for some reason I thought we'd used SS, thank God for that, SS is freaking expensive. I think $1.65 hangers (10mm plated steel) is the cheapest so far. Anyone seen better than that?
