I am bringing my girlfriend climbing this week, and she wants to be able to shower. Is there anywhere to shower? And are there any places to camp where we can pretty much be on our own?
You can pay a couple of bucks and get a shower at Cliffview too. If you stay at Koomer Ridge, (first come first served, semi-secluded, picnic tables, fire rings) you can get a shower too. $12 per night @ koomer.
You want to be by yourself and have access to a shower? Perhaps a hotel in Lexington would be in order. Otherwise, there is a hostel at the intersection of 715 and 11 that has both showers and breakfast. It's right in the gorge too, though I think it might have a common sleeping area.
